What to Do With a Spiir Export After the Shutdown

New Spiir exports are no longer available. Spiir ended login access when it closed on 8 June 2026, so the old app and web export instructions no longer work. If you saved a CSV, JSON or ZIP file before the shutdown, keep it safely: Bilance cannot currently import it, but it can still be useful as your personal record.

If you already saved an export

The file type tells you what you downloaded. According to Spiir’s export documentation:

FileWhat Spiir included
Simple CSVVisible transactions and commonly used fields
Detailed CSV or JSONMore fields, metadata and hidden transactions
Full-data ZIPSeveral CSV files containing the personal data Spiir processed

Store the original file in a secure place and keep a backup. You can open a CSV file with a spreadsheet app to search or review transactions. Extract the ZIP file first if you downloaded the full-data export.

Bilance does not currently support importing Spiir export files. Keep the export for your own records.

If you did not export before the shutdown

It is too late to create a new self-service export. Spiir said users would no longer be able to log in from 8 June 2026 and that personal data would be deleted or anonymised after the service ended.

There is one limited route you can try. Spiir’s privacy notice says you can manually request access to personal data it still holds by contacting spiirprivacy@mastercard.com. This does not guarantee that your transaction history can be recovered: Spiir may already have deleted or anonymised it.

Start tracking again

Bilance is the budgeting app built for European banks — it connects all your accounts automatically and does the categorising for you. You can start from the transaction history available through your connected banks; you do not need a Spiir export.

Start with Bilance, then connect the bank accounts you want to track.

FAQ

Can I create a new Spiir export now? No. Spiir ended login access on 8 June 2026, so its self-service export tools are no longer available.

Which saved file is easiest to read? CSV. Most spreadsheet apps can open it directly. JSON is better suited to technical tools, while the full-data ZIP contains several CSV files.

Can I import my Spiir data into Bilance? Not currently. If this matters to you, write to help@bilanceapp.com.

Did Spiir’s closure affect my bank account? No. Spiir said the closure would not affect bank accounts or services held directly with a bank.
