Bilance

AI Chat

AI Chat is a main tab in Bilance: a conversational assistant that knows your actual finances — your real transactions, budgets, subscriptions, categories and net worth — and answers questions from them. "Am I doing okay? Where does the money actually go? What would a realistic budget look like for me?" get answered from your numbers, not generic tips.

How it works

The chat reads the same data the app displays and can filter, aggregate and compare it on request: spending by category or place, budget status, subscription costs, balances and net worth, month-over-month changes. Answers come with explanations, not just totals — €460 on eating out, and what drove it: three big weekend dinners, 30% above your usual.

A Personal Context stores durable facts you choose to share — household, goals, how you like advice framed — so answers get more personal over time, and you can view and edit everything it remembers. With Shared Finances, a filter chip scopes every answer to your data, your partner's shared data, or both.

What people actually ask it

Everyday lookups become questions instead of filter work. "How much did the Spain trip cost?" "What am I paying for streaming in total?" — asked the way you would ask a person, answered from the record.

A second opinion on bigger decisions. A car lease can look affordable at the monthly price. Add insurance, fuel and upkeep, set it against your real income and fixed costs, and "can I actually afford this?" sometimes has a different answer — better heard before signing than after.

Someone to talk to about money at all. A person who looks at your real situation and helps make sense of it has traditionally been reserved for the wealthy. The chat does that for a normal financial life: it turns a pile of transactions into a picture you understand, any evening, in plain language.

Honest limits

AI Chat reads and advises; it never edits your data — changes stay in the app's screens, where you make them yourself. It is not an investment advisor. Daily and long-conversation usage limits keep the chat sustainable.

Frequently asked questions

Can the AI change my data or move my money?

No. AI Chat reads and advises; editing anything stays in the app’s screens, and Bilance’s bank access is read-only through regulated open-banking providers, so nothing in Bilance can ever move money.

Is AI Chat a financial advisor?

It works like a personal financial advisor for your everyday money: understanding your situation, planning, budgets, big-purchase sanity checks. It is not an investment advisor and does not recommend investments.

Does it know my situation, or does it give generic advice?

It computes answers from your actual transactions, budgets, recurring payments, assets and reports. A Personal Context also stores durable facts you choose to share — household, goals, how you like advice framed — and you can view and edit everything it remembers.
